This colorful shimmery pigment is primarily composed of mica and titanium dioxide. Mica are regarded as an accepted natural pigment that has been extracted. Mica platelets are covered with enough appropriate approved pigments to achieve the desired colourant. The multi-sided pigment gives notable shine and shimmer. It works best in clear products such as clear melt and pour soap as the shimmer needs light in order to illuminate.

One advantage of mica is that it has a tendency not to clump in cold process soap. The disadvantage though is that it's inclined to be unhinged in cold process soap. Titanium dioxide is a thickening, bleaching, greasing ingredient added to this pigment to shield the skin. It is added to allow a level of stability that is not doable by mica. The end result of the mixture of mica and titanium dioxide is a colourful shimmery pigment that is impartially even and not clumpy.

This shimmery pigment can be used in bodycare applications or to enhance other colours in many applications. It can be used for colouring cosmetics like eyeshadows and powders, as well as to colouring soaps.
