METHOD:
Step 1: Prepare the surface
First clean off the affected surface with a mixture of sodium bicarbonate, vinegar and hot water. You can easily purchase sodium bicarbonate at N-Essentials and vinegar at the local supermarket.
Step 2: Mix the clove oil with water
Once the affected surface is clean, fill a clean spray bottle. You can use any spray bottle and this can be easily found at the supermarket or a homeware store. To this bottle, add the clove oil solution. This would be 500ml of water with half a teaspoon of clove leaf essential oil to it.
Step 3: Use the clove oil solution
Spray on the mould-affected area, and leave for half an hour before wiping clean. Immediately spray again and leave the clove leaf oil mixture on this time to allow any remaining mould spores to dry and drop off over the next couple of days. Make sure you keep an eye on the dropping spores and keep the area clean.
