This multicoloured, shimmery pigment is fundamentally composed of mica and titanium dioxide. Mica are categorised as an accepted natural colourant that has been mined naturally. Every mica platelets are covered with accepted pigments to achieve the colourant. The multifaceted colour is what gives mica its inimitable shimmer and gleam. It works perfectly well when used in clear products such as clear melt and pour soap as the shimmer requires light to reflect.

One awesome point about mica is that it has a tendency not to clump in cold process soap. However, the down side though is that it has a possibility to be unstable in cold process soap. Titanium dioxide is a solidifying, blanching, lubricating ingredient added to this colourant to protect the skin. The reason for adding it is to permit a level of stability not attainable with mica. The end result of the mixture of mica and titanium dioxide is a many-coloured, shimmery pigment that is equally stable and not clumpy.

This lively colourant can be utilised to enhance products in numerous applications such as skin and body essentials. Examples of such essentials would consist of eyeshadows, face powders, and face blushers.
