This multi-hued shimmery pigment mostly consists of mica and titanium dioxide. Micas are considered as an approved tint that has been naturally obtained. Each mica platelets are layered with permitted pigments to reach the tint. The multi-sided tint is what provides micas its well-defined sparkle and shine. It works best in pure products such as clear melt and pour soap as the sparkle needs light in order to light up.

One benefit of mica is that it inclines not to clump in cold process soap. The disadvantage though is that it has a tendency to remain unhinged in cold process soap. Titanium dioxide is a congealing, whitening, oiling ingredient infused to this tint to protect the skin. It is added to allow a level of immovability not afforded by mica. The end result of the blend of mica and titanium dioxide is a many-hued shimmery pigment that is properly steady and not clumpy.

This shimmery pigment can be used to enhance products in many applications such as skin and body essentials. For e.g., eyeshadows, face powders and face blushers.
