The primary ingredient in this recipe is baking soda. It complements the acidic citric acid and the fizzy reaction.
This is a necessary ingredient and is required for the fizzing reaction that makes your bathing experience a fabulous one.
Arrowroot or cornstarch is essential and offers a silky smooth bathing experience. You can use the organic version of cornstarch too. Arrowroot is a good alternative but cornstarch makes better bath bombs.
Oil, salt, liquid:
You have a lot of options while picking up these ingredients.
Oil: You can either choose a simple oil like coconut or olive or go for argan or apricot oil.
Salt: Based on your preference, you can either use normal salt or elevate your experience with Epsom salt.
Normal water can be conveniently used but if you are eager to take your experience up a notch, you can opt for organic witch hazel.
Fragrance and colours:
There are endless options to explore. You can pick from your favourite essential oils collection and also include dried herbs. Based on your need, you can also go for a fragrance-free bath bomb. If you are eager to make it a colourful experience, you can add natural pigments too to add colour to your bath bombs.
You can easily use a cup to measure the ingredients. However, for a more accurate measurement, you can use a digital scale. It ensures that you get the measurements precisely.
For simple bath bombs, you can use your hands to form shapes. However, if you wish to give away bath bombs as gifts, you can use metal moulds to get interesting shapes. Cupcake tins also make a good option.
